1.2 Import photos

The described import process is relevant for iOS 13 and higher. For iOS 12 see Import Photos for iOS 12

Create a new universal catalog:

Connect the memory card via the Camera Connection Kit or other external storage (for example, GNARBOX 2.0 SSD):

Instead of the Camera Connection Kit, you can use other similar adapters from AliExpress

Open the created catalog and add a photo:

Select From Files app and select the type of imported files (RAW or JPEG):

The Files application will open, go to the root and select the desired source and folder with the photo (for example, a memory card). Then press Select, Select All and Open:

Then select the photo resolution: original or standard. If you select standard, the photo resolution for PhotoPicker will be reduced to 6 Megapixels:
