2.2 Importing Lightroom Catalog into PhotoPicker (MacOS)

2.2.1 Finder (fastest and most stable)

Connect your iPad or iPhone, open the Finder app, select the connected iPad or iPhone on the left, go to its Files tab and find the PhotoPicker app. Then drag two items at the same time - the *.lrcat catalog file and the * Previews.lrdata folder onto the line of the PhotoPicker application:

If the copied catalog is not displayed on the iPad or iPhone in the PhotoPicker application, refresh the content with the standard iOS refresh gesture - pull-to-refresh.

2.2.2 FTP server (stable, but slightly slower than Finder)

The iPad or iPhone must be connected via WiFi to the same network as the computer.

In the PhotoPicker application, click the FTP icon. The FTP server will start and a window will appear on the screen with the parameters for connecting to it:

For copying, we recommend using the Cyberduck app or similar. Please note that the standard FTP client for MacOS only allows you to copy files from the server, and there is no way to upload them to the server.

IMPORTANT: After copying, the catalog file *.lrcat and the corresponding folder with previews * Previews.lrdata should be located in the root of the FTP server.

After copying is complete, stop the FTP server by clicking Stop FTP Server.

2.2.3 Сloud services (iCloud, DropBox and others) (convenient but slow)

Zip the catalog to a ZIP archive and place the archive on a cloud service. In the PhotoPicker program, on the screen displaying all catalogs, click the import icon, the Files program will open, in which select the desired archive on the cloud service.
